There are many clinical observations in this project. On July 1st, we visited the Severance Hospital and ABMRC. On July 3rd, we visited the National Evidence-based Healthcare Collaborating Agency (NECA).And in the next week, we visited Korea Medical Law and Bioethics (K-me di) on July 8th, Korean National Institute for Bioethics Agency (KoNIBP) on July 9th,Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service on July 10th separately.
I think these activities are particularly interesting and educational at the same time. When I visited the hospital, let me know the operation mode of the Korean hospital and the feelings and care for the patients. After I visited NECA, I learned that the agency’s goal is to provide objective and quality information on health technology, improve national health and enhance the sustainability of health system. And I know that the K-me di is a unit that can handle medical disputes fairly, the KoNIBP established standard operating guidelines procedures and research ethics guidelines, the HIRA established the healthy and safe healthcare environment and promoted public health through the development of health insurance and healthcare system. All in all, these activities have taught me about Korean medical policies and laws.
We have social-environmental health determinants related courses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the first week. And in the next week , we have ethical legal consideration related course on Monday and Tuesday.
By participating in this lectures, I can understand the role of social environmental factors in determining the aging of the population, and understand the impact of law and bioethics on the aging of the population. We understand that the status quo of Korea's aging has responded to the policy of aging. And the program will broaden my horizons, increase insights and help my study. In addition, we also learned the use of the R studio, which is very helpful for our statistical analysis. The movie talk is very funny and I can discuss the reasons for the death and death of the protagonist in the movie with the teacher and classmates.
On July 5th , We wore hanbok to visit Gyeongbokgung in the morning, and we have a seal engraving class in the afternoon. On July 7th ,we visited the National Museum.
These visits have taught me about Korean culture and history, and I have a better understanding of Korea.
My research topic is closely related to “Aging”. The Aging of the population refers to the process of increasing the proportion of the elderly population in the whole population. Participating in these activities will give me a better understanding of aging and will be very helpful for my academic research.
In the program, I understand that health insurance policies have a profound impact on aging. Good health care policies can alleviate the burden of disease among older people and improve the health expectancy of the elderly.
Future applicants need to know Korean medical environment medical policy and Korean traditional culture in advance. It is also very helpful to receive the ppt of the course in advance. At the same time, the applicant can learn a little Korean in advance.
