1) What you have learned and experienced through the program
It was really a fascinating thing to get close to the biological and medical related laboratory in Yonsei University. I’ve learned a lot about systematical biology, developmental biology and mechanical biology, and knew several new methods and tools for research, which can be used within my own project someday.
My view has been broadened by all the visits to several national institutions as well as the national assembly. It was a great opportunity to see how the things related to medical and policy work. And the friendship was a significant theme during the program. Making friends is really a great thing, which almost happened every day.
2) How this program helped with your career plan and education
Lab rotations provides me a lot of useful information which are closely related to my own research during PHD, such as DNA/RNA screening by bioinformatics methods and tissue imaging technology. And the view from medical and policy provides me more chances to get close to the real society and more possibilities to plan my occupation.
The full schedule looked quite interesting and helpful, but I felt a little bit sorry that I can join only one week work shop this time. If I can, I would like to join the program for the second time.
