Surrounded by excellent teachers and students, I was able to spend a very dense time and I was able to learn a variety of things.
Through this program, I wanted to learn about the current state of public health and future tasks, compared with Japan, centering on the viewpoint of nutrition which is my research topic. In addition, I was interested in participating in this program that I wanted to learn the research method centered on the cohort study of Yonsei University and want to expand my horizons of vision from such experiences..
In Yonsei University, I accepted it to Professor Kim who is doing epidemiological study of cardiovascular equipment. Professor Kim's major is epidemiology, Chronic Disease, epidemiology research on cardiovascular disease. In the program, I participated in an interview with a professor, a field survey of CMEC research, a meeting at Kim class once a week, and at the end I made a presentation on my research. In addition, activities were also substantial, participation in international conferences and field trips to the National Cancer Center.
Period, unfortunately I went at the university spring break period, did not attend classes.
Fortunately, I received a private lecture on the theme of Hospital Management Education, Genome epidemiology, and I had a very valuable experience.
In addition, I went to Korea Language school twice a week for two hours and also experienced studying abroad.
It is considered that Japan and Korea are due to the difference in "how to eat" when thinking that there are many points common to the kinds of ingredients to be used and the recipe. Therefore, it is important to compare the present situation of dietary habits and food preferences in Japan and Korea and analyze the problems of 'food' of both countries in terms of future nutrition and dietary habits It is thought that there is. I thought that I would like to make future research subjects.
Due to the time limitation, it was equal to what almost none could be done as a research, but it was a great harvest that we were able to participate in the atmosphere and discussion at the research site. Also, I was able to get to know many students from the laboratory, I went to see sightseeing together, I was able to talk about the future image while eating rice was a very truly irreplaceable experience. I was inspired by their way of thinking about career and attitude towards research, and there was a new awareness about my strengths / weaknesses and future prospects. Although I was worried about studying abroad alone in Korea, I was blessed with gentle people and I was able to really spend three irreplaceable weeks. I am deeply grateful that I got such an opportunity. Finally, I would like to thank the teachers who supported this valuable study abroad experience, the staff of Campus Asia. Thank you so much.
